Domestic Violence Accommodation Services

We provide safe and secure emergency accommodation for women and children fleeing Domestic Violence and Abuse. In our refuge accommodation, families are provided either an en-suite bedroom with a communal living/kitchen area or a self-contained apartment with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/living space.

Refuge Accommodation Provides:

We have 11 family spaces across two sites in southwest Dublin to meet the needs of families of all sizes, with children or not.

Residents are free to come and go throughout the day while maintaining routines for work, school, college, etc. We do operate a nightly curfew to ensure all refuge spaces are used if needed. Rooms are locked, so belongings are safe. We operate a no-illegal drugs or alcohol policy in our refuges.

Safehouse Accommodation

The overall goal of this project is to provide SDVS clients with access to safe and secure accommodation. Our accommodation model of practice fosters a crisis-stability-recovery approach. The SDVS Safehouse Project works within our Stability model. Currently, SDVS provides three Safehouse accommodations (7 bedrooms in total). The Safehouse Project provides longer-term accommodation than refuge to women and families who have had to flee their homes due to DVA. Families must meet the criteria of living independently; however, families often require additional support, such as emotional and practical support. This accommodation option is currently only available to existing SDVS clients through a referral process.
