Mary Lou McDonald and Mark Ward visit our Refuge

We were delighted to welcome Mary Lou McDonald TD and Mark Ward TD to our  refuge this week.

Both Mary Lou and Mark chatted with residents of our  refuge, really listened to their stories and discussed what change is needed to support families experiencing domestic violence and abuse

They also spoke to our team and board or management about the lack of move on options there are for women and children experiencing DVA once they leave refuges like Saoirse.

We are looking forward to one day seeing change, where women and children will be continuously kept safe once they leave abusive situations and regain their independence
